Switching from sports in the winter to sports in the spring time, if not done properly, can lead to unwanted health issues like athlete’s foot or overuse injuries. Here are some ways to prevent spring sport injuries.

  1. Get a pre-season health and wellness check-up
  2. Take it slow
  3. Wear proper, broken in shoes
  4. Check their technique
  5. Insist on open communication if your child has pain
  6. If an injury does occur, remember R.I.C.E (rest, ice, compression, and elevation)
